SEO Price Singapore 2026: What Each Price Band Delivers

SEO in Singapore costs between roughly S$800 and S$6,000 a month for a single-location business in 2026. Across the nine public agency price pages we checked on 6 September 2026, the cheapest published tier per vendor ranged from S$200 to S$2,800, median S$1,000. The right test for any figure is cost per enquiry against Google Ads, not the retainer alone.

Singapore SEO prices in 2026: the three bands

Singapore retainers fall into three bands defined by scope, not by the agency's name: entry at roughly S$800 to S$1,500 a month, local at S$1,500 to S$3,000, and authority at S$3,000 to S$6,000, with enterprise programmes quoted above that. One vendor publishes tiers under S$400, which we treat as an outlier.

Of the nine price pages we collected on 6 September 2026, seven publish a tier at or under S$1,500, seven publish a tier between S$1,500 and S$3,000, and three publish a tier at S$3,500 or above. Five itemise full tiers; four state a starting price with the scope it buys. The table shows what each band typically includes, using the ranges we found rather than any one vendor's list.

Two things stand out. The Singapore local band is narrow and crowded, with most vendors placing their main SME tier between S$1,800 and S$3,000. And not one of the nine price pages states how many links it builds each month, in a market where competitor domains are strong and citations alone rarely move a money page.

What the gap between S$800 and S$3,800 actually pays for

The gap is hours, and hours show up in four line items: keywords worked rather than tracked, content written rather than promised, links with a monthly number, and a Google Business Profile managed rather than set up once. A big keyword count with nothing else attached describes a rank tracker, not work.

Keywords. The entry tiers we checked list 5 to 30 keywords, but one vendor lists 60 keyphrases at S$1,400 and 120 at S$2,300. At those prices the keywords are tracked in software, which costs a few dollars each, not worked with pages and links, which costs hours. Two vendors at S$1,000 to S$1,200 list about 30 keywords and say plainly that the price depends on hours. Divide the fee by the keywords and ask what one keyword receives.

Content. This is the clearest divider. Entry tiers publish zero to two short pieces a month; the S$2,800 and S$2,980 tiers in our sample both publish two articles; the S$3,800 and S$5,980 tiers publish four. Google's guidance on whether you need an SEO and how to choose one says to ask what results to expect and in what timeframe; content volume is the quickest check on the answer, because at two pieces a month a 20-keyword campaign takes most of a year to give every keyword its own page.

Links. Every mid-tier page says "link building included" and none says how many. One entry-tier vendor is candid that its link work is an analysis and a disavow file, which is housekeeping, not acquisition; another sells backlinks à la carte outside the retainer. Ask for a monthly number and the type of site; "it depends" means links are extra.

Google Business Profile. Only three of the nine vendors name the profile as included, and all three sit in the entry band. That is the reverse of what a heartland shopfront in Tampines or Bishan needs, because the map pack is where most of its enquiries start. Google says local ranking is driven by relevance, distance and prominence and cannot be bought, so the value is the monthly activity that builds prominence: posts, photos, Q&A, review replies and spam reports.

Guarantees on Singapore price pages, and what they mean

Four of the nine price pages attach a guarantee: a 90-day ranking guarantee, a "guaranteed result" badge on every tier, "page one or we work for free", and "50% of campaign keywords on page one at 12 months". One vendor states plainly that it cannot guarantee results. Google's own guidance is unambiguous: no one can guarantee a number-one ranking, and you are responsible for the actions of any company you hire.

A guarantee is a pricing decision, not a scam by itself. The agency chooses the keywords, so it can choose ones that rank easily and bring no enquiries, and "work for free" clauses apply to the same easy set. Ask who picks the keywords, whether you can veto the list, and what happens to the contract if the guarantee is missed. A 12-month commitment tied to keywords you never asked for costs real money.

The quieter risk is how the promise gets met. Google's spam policies define link spam as links created primarily to manipulate rankings and scaled content abuse as pages generated at volume to manipulate rankings rather than help users. Both are the fastest way to hit a short-term target, and both are your problem when the penalty lands, because the domain is yours.

Where PSG fits, and where it does not

The Productivity Solutions Grant supports pre-approved solutions from listed vendors, applied for through the Business Grants Portal before any payment or deposit is made. Eligibility covers businesses registered and operating in Singapore with a minimum share of local equity and within the stated size limits. Check the support level, cap and current solution list on the official page, not an agency's sales page, because they change.

Two practical points. PSG digital marketing packages are fixed-scope bundles with a defined term, not open-ended retainers; when the term ends, the work stops unless you re-sign at full price. And a grant changes what you pay, not what the work is worth, so compare the post-grant price on the cost-per-enquiry maths below and read the deliverables list as carefully as any other quote. We are not a PSG vendor. Our guide to how the PSG grant works for Singapore websites explains the process, and what to do without PSG covers the alternative.

Cost per enquiry: the number that beats the retainer figure

The retainer means nothing on its own. What matters is what one enquiry costs from SEO against the same enquiry from Google Ads, because Ads is the price you would otherwise pay for the visitor. Run this on any quote, in any band.

  1. Find your live cost per click. Open Google Ads Keyword Planner, set the location to Singapore, and read the top-of-page bid range for your main service term. Use your own number.
  2. Estimate ads cost per enquiry. Divide cost per click by your landing-page conversion rate. Assume S$12 a click and 3% conversion: one enquiry costs S$400. At 5% it costs S$240.
  3. Estimate SEO cost per enquiry in a mature month. Divide the retainer by the organic enquiries around month 12. Assume a S$2,500 local-band retainer producing 10 enquiries a month: S$250 per enquiry. At 18 it is S$139.
  4. Add GST and set-up. Several Singapore price pages quote "++" or "subject to scope". The current GST rate is 9%, and a one-off audit can be sold on top of the retainer. Put the all-in figure into step three.
  5. Compare the trend, not the month. Ads cost per enquiry stays flat or rises as competitors bid. SEO cost per enquiry falls as pages, reviews and links accumulate, and enquiries continue for months after a pause.

Step three is the honest part. Nobody can promise the enquiry count in advance, which is why the figures above are stated as assumptions. What a provider can promise is the monthly work and the reporting, so that by month six you have real numbers. Ask for Google Business Profile calls, direction requests and website clicks in the monthly report, not only rankings.

Contract terms, GST and set-up fees: the small print

Three of the nine price pages state a six-month minimum, one states 12 months, one advertises no lock-in, and four do not say. Only one states there is no set-up fee; two sell a one-off audit outside the retainer. Silence on term and set-up is not a discount, it is a question to ask before signing.

  • Term. Six months is the shortest realistic period for local results to show, so a six-month minimum is reasonable. Twelve months is common where a guarantee is attached.
  • What renews. Ask whether the contract rolls month to month after the minimum or auto-renews for a full term, and the notice period.
  • Price basis. "S$1,200++" means before GST and possibly other charges. Get the invoice figure in writing, and whether it changes if the keyword set grows.
  • Payment. Most agencies invoice monthly by PayNow or bank transfer; some ask for a quarter upfront. A full year upfront tied to a guarantee deserves a second look.
  • Exit. Content, citations, profile access and reports should remain yours if you leave. If the agency also hosts your site, read that clause first.

Before you sign: ownership and readiness checks

Price is the first filter, not the last. Two checks decide whether the money is recoverable if the relationship ends; a third decides whether the campaign can work.

Who is on the invoice. Ask for the vendor's UEN and look it up on ACRA's BizFile before paying anything. A price page with no company name or UEN is a warning sign regardless of the price.

Who owns the accounts. Google's guide to Business Profile owners and managers explains that only owners can add or remove people. Your company should be the primary owner and the agency a manager, never the reverse; the same applies to Google Analytics, Search Console and WordPress admin. An agency that holds these logins is building leverage for the renewal conversation.

Whether the site can convert. SEO sends visitors; the website has to turn them into enquiries. Before any retainer, run the free fifteen-check website audit: mobile speed, a working form and WhatsApp button, HTTPS, indexability, and whether you own the domain and hosting. If several checks fail, fix the site first. A Starter website in Singapore is a one-off fee smaller than a single month of a local-band retainer; the full Singapore website design cost breakdown shows what each build tier includes. Care Plans from S$488 a year then keep it updated while the campaign runs.

How we quote SEO in Singapore, and why there is no price list here

We do not publish a monthly SEO price, and the data above is the reason: the same S$2,500 buys three different services depending on the keyword set, the competition in your category and the state of your website. Instead we start with a free audit and a live keyword map for your area, then quote a scope you can hold us to, month by month: keywords worked, content, Google Business Profile activity, links with a number and technical hours, with every account under your own logins. If you want that scope and the number that goes with it, start on our SEO services page for Singapore or WhatsApp us with your industry and location.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEO cost per month in Singapore?

Across the nine Singapore agency price pages we checked on 6 September 2026, published tiers ran from about S$800 to S$6,000 a month, with one outlier under S$400. The cheapest tier per vendor ranged from S$200 to S$2,800, median S$1,000. Entry campaigns sit under S$1,500, local campaigns between S$1,500 and S$3,000, authority campaigns from S$3,000 upward.

Is the entry price band enough for SEO to work in Singapore?

It is enough for a maps-first campaign in one area with 5 to 20 long-tail and location keywords, provided they are worked rather than only tracked and the Google Business Profile is managed monthly. It is not enough for competitive island-wide terms; an entry-band page listing 60 keywords is tracking them, not working them.

Is SEO covered by the PSG grant?

Only when bought as a pre-approved solution from a PSG-listed vendor through the Business Grants Portal, before any payment is made. Those packages are fixed-scope bundles with a set term, not open-ended retainers. Check eligibility and the current support level on the EnterpriseSG page. We are not a PSG vendor.

Why do Singapore SEO packages rarely state a monthly link number?

None of the nine price pages we checked gives one. Links from real Singapore sites cost hours or money each, so a fixed retainer cannot promise a count without knowing the site and category. Ask for a monthly number and the type of site; a vague answer means links are extra.

How do I compare SEO cost with Google Ads?

Take your live cost per click from Keyword Planner, divide by your landing-page conversion rate to get ads cost per enquiry, then divide the all-in SEO retainer including GST by the organic enquiries in a mature month. Compare the trend: ads stay flat or rise, SEO cost per enquiry falls over time.

Should I trust an SEO package that guarantees first-page rankings?

Be cautious. Four of the nine Singapore price pages we checked attach a guarantee, usually tied to a six- or 12-month term. Google's own guidance says no one can guarantee a number-one ranking. Guarantees are met by choosing easy keywords, so ask who picks the list and whether you can veto it.

What is usually not included in a Singapore SEO retainer?

Paid ads management, video, multi-location coverage, cross-border rankings, A/B testing and conversion programmes, and review-acquisition systems are typically quoted separately. GST, a one-off audit and set-up may also sit outside the headline price, so ask for the invoice figure.
